Can we thank socialized medicine for England's decline in dentists?

Here are excerpts from the article Falling numbers of state dentists in England has led to some people taking extreme measures, including extracting their own teeth, according to a new study released Monday. “This is an uncomfortable read for all of us, and poses serious questions to politicians from patients,” said Sharon Grant of the Commission for Patient and Public Involvement in Health.

half of all dentists 45 percent said they no longer take NHS patients, while 41 percent said they had an “excessive” workload. Twenty-nine percent said their clinic had problems recruiting or retaining dentists.

Reference: news.yahoo.com and this IS a political Issue, that we Americans must take into consideration when voting for legislative/presidential representatives! Noah- hello. I am not comparing England with US. I am simply making an example of what COULD happen if we socialize medicine sort of like a.different side to it.

both sides of the coin may not be gold.
