I got a few fillings a few hours ago.

whole right side of my face was pretty numb afterwards, but now is even more numb. I can no longer smile with that half of my face (I could when I left the dentist though!) My gums themselves aren't really numb anymore, but my face is even more numb. I guess I'm just wondering how much longer I should expect the numbness. Also, and this is the part that concerns me, it seems that I am unable to differentiate temperature on the numb side of my face. My tongue isn't really numb anymore. I tried to eat some ice cream and it was really strange the left half of my tongue knew it was cold.the right half thought it was hot! I tried to eat something warm, and it was the opposite! Same goes with my lips. It's the strangest thing.

Our old collie used to have a passion for cow dung I know some dogs will eat cat poo they find in the garden. Puppies will eat their own poo out of curiosity when they are very young but will usually naturally outgrow this and I can in some ways understand why dogs lacking in some sort of nourishment might do it albeit for reasons best know to themselves! What I cannot understand is why my friends perfectly normal healthly well fed dog which lives in a very stable sensible loving home has suddenly started habitually eating its own any other dogs faeces. On top of this why do other equally 'normal' dogs copy their example but only when in that dogs company!! The latter is what one of my dogs has done yuk!! Obviously you can stop them if you are present see it happening but sometimes it is only evident after the deed.believe me its far worse than somone with ciggy or garlic breath!! Can any dog enthusiasts/psychologists explain why this may occur? Please note the vet has given this dog the ok health wise as I have said it is on excellent nutritional diet.

it is easy to stop this if you are present at the time but obviously impossible when the dog is unsupervised ie in the garden or over the hills out on a walk.

if you know when the dog is likely to poo you can keep an eye on things but you cant possibly predict when they are going to encounter another dogs bowel movements when you are out on a walk! Can anyone offer alternative reasoning please.

I've been drinking a bunch over the holidays, I haven't for about a week but I notice my gums have been sore for a while. I think i take care of my teeth pretty well so its not gingivitis I dont think. Is it possible alcohol did this?

I went to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned and noticed a big dark window like in the movies. I thought it was a see through from the other side because I heard noises that sounded like a battery powered tool? The nurses kept switching on me while cleaning and then came back with a huge grin and sweat on their foreheads? My last visit there they were non-stop complimenting on how beautiful teeth I had.

anybody else get off on a good set of teeth?
