I've heard stories about getting dental implants to replace open gaps between teeth. is it painful? and does it feel wierd?

I am considering buying a Waterpik Ultra to help keep my teeth clean, as I tend to get gingivitis easily. I would like to hear from anyone who has used a Waterpik to know if you liked it and if it really helped with your teeth/gums. The website claims 93% better cleaning than brushing and flossing.
