I keep flossing at least 3 times/day and twice brushing so that I make sure I keep good dental hygiene. I just did my last prophylaxis in January ,but I still feel itchy in my gum for around 2 weeks swollen and looks pumped) .There's no bleeding anywayz either on my toothbrush or floss. So what the problem is it? i'dont think there's infecion cuz there's no bleeding or puss coming out.

For the past 10 years, I have been grinding my teeth in my sleep. I have really bad TMJ problems because of this, and my jaw is always in pain. I got a bite splint for $600, fitted at the dentist, but I just ended up chewing it all up while I was sleeping and now it doesn't fit anymore. I am not overly stressed out, and I don't drink much alcohol. Is there any way to stop grinding my teeth?
