i am moving to canada in a few months and dental work done i need a bridge in the front “hockey” and a root canal so i need good dental insurance so i know canadan has a national health care but they do not cover dental as far as i know.. is any part covered? i am moving to “Hamilton Ontario” so i need some info on the best dental insurance you can get cost and from who.

turns out i might need some dental work after all but i detest the idea of braces, though ive heard it is possible (but very expensive) to get them behind the teeth, anyone know much on that? besides that, are there ANY other methods with the same results as wearing braces but without the permanant metal?

I've been wanting to get a tattoo on the inside of my wrist for the longest time but Im about to become a certified dental assistant and im not sure how getting a tattoo there will affect my chances of getting hired..should i get it? Answers from dental assistants, hygienst or dentist are appreciated =)

Alright so i've had this killer toothache for about five days now- i've taken motrin, tylenol, and tried almost every remedy i can think of. im in so much pain that i've actually dropped down to my knees crying several times. i can't even sleep! what else can i do to relieve the pain? ive seen the dentist and he said that it infact was an abscessed tooth. he recommended a root canal but the thing is, my insurance, which is fidelis, requires approval for such a procedure.

approval time, apparently takes an entire month so i am left with this tooth for that much longer.

can i do? my parents recommend getting it pulled but then i'd be left with one less molar. if i dont get it pulled, i'll have to withstand this pain for another month.

doctor prescribed antibiotics and ibuprofen but it really isnt enough to get rid of the pain. i tried getting in contact with other doctors but 1.

too expensive and 2.

memorial day weekend. [also, im a minor] i'm so desperate.. ive been through a lot of injuries and this has actually been the worst.. i cant afford it without the insurance but the insurance takes way too long. i just got the prescription today and im dying from the pain. i dont think the dentist would do it because the ones around here are pretty stingy. i'm 15 so i dont have wisdom teeth yet. im worried about pulling it our because everyone says it may have an adverse affect if i do.

not that the insurance doesnt cover the root canal its that apparently the procedure has to be “approved” before it can be done :/ i guess it applies for the pulpotomy as well, which means. no relief for me regarding the extraction, parents recommended getting a replacement tooth once taken out, so im not pained nearly as much. it would cost about 200 bucks for the extraction and more for the replacement but im still a bitreluctant., no more replies? thanks for the help

I asked this question not too long ago and i hadn't gotten a single response so i thought id ask again. I live in Pennsylvania now, and i know Harrisburg Area Community College in York has one (and i live in york) but i heard the program is extrememly competetive and hard to get into. I might be moving back to Maryland, where im originally from. In august, im going to have a diploma in dental assisting, but i want to further my career. I am currently on an externship for my program, and i am xray and cpr certified.

know though any hygiene schools in the maryland, or even PA area that arent hard to get into? Thanks!!

autistic child cost alot for special schools and what not. I find it a bad move to take our stimulus package when it comes as the government is sending it to help people.

the bankruptcy court takes it away and puts it where? We were going to use it to pay for our childs dental work. I just think its unfair.

Yesterday happened to be our 2nd anniversary of our first date. 2 years ago I took her with me to a dental appointment I had, and she was able to read a number of magazines while I had my filling put in.

Trust me, that extra money she earns is going to buy her any wedding ring she can afford if I have my way! So I sent her 7 yellow roses with a card to her workplace today. Normally this would be alright, as I need to concentrate on my Madden '08 game now that we are in the playoffs, but tonight I am hosting a couple from work for a dinner party.

My situation: I found out I have like 7 cavities and apparently they've been there for a while cause i haven't been to the dentist in like 3 years.

what can happen if I don't treat them.and what's the worst that can happen? Also, what does it mean for cavities to grow or spread.is that what possibly happened to me? Anyway, a filling for each cavity costs $25 and I just don't have that kind of money right now (it's not covered by my insurance). Wisdom teeth: they said one is jacked and bacteria is thriving b/c food is so easily stuck way down b/c of the way the tooth is positioned over my gums. Anyway, they said i need to get them pulled asap but i can't afford to take 2 weeks off (as they said would be absolutely necessary) b/c off work and school! Also, what can happen if I just take that one bad wisdom tooth and leave the rest in, would i be okay? THANK YOU!
