What all is done when a dentist prepares your tooth for a crown?

I have already had a root canal, and I went back and he put a filling in it. I go back today to get it ready for a crown.

all is done and about how long does it take?

I can't remember everything. I know it doesn't take very long maybe 30 min to an hour. He has to make sure the crown fits in your mouth perfectly. I remember when they were fitting for my crown they needed to file it down because I wasn't able to bite down all the way.

worst part is over. Don't worry.
