gingivitis?

my aunt’s cat has it, she’s 12 yrs old and my aunt doesn’t want to put her under anesthesia.

vet also said that she’s very dehydrated and she might have kidney problems because of the gingivitis, what should my aunt do? she recently lost 1 cat to diabetes and old age so it would kill her if she lost this 1 2

Not treating gingivitis allows bacteria to circulate from the inflamed area into the blood stream which will be dangerous to the heart. 12 isn't old on a cat, you can also ask the vet which is kinder to use a liquid anesthesia or the gas type.

the cat was underweight or over the age of 15, I'd go ahead and have the problem taken care of.

not only should you see the dentist but you should try to use listerine 2x a day and that helps a lot!

Make sure you use a softer brush and don't brush too hard.

make sure you follow the right technique and make sure to floss and use a mouthwash after wards.

Colgate Total and Crest Blue Mouthwash. If this is really bothersome, put a little bit of salt on your fingertip and rub it on your gums and rinse. It will make your gums stronger. Thankyou for sharing this with the LGBT community.

Since your gums are tender and sores, they are most likely to bleed when brushing your teeth. Although they do bleed, keeping your oral health hygiene is important to battle gingivitis.

and brush your gums softly to prevent tearing them and stop unnecessary bleeding, although brushing for 5 minutes may not be a good idea.

-Drink the juice of 1/2 lemon squeezed into a cupful of water. -Eat a raw apple about an hour after meals which helps to clean the teeth and heal the gums.

I've been having trouble with the gums around some of my molars the last month or so myself and treat them by dipping the tip of my toothbrush in tea tree oil and then wiggling it around the cracks and in between the infected teeth.

I rinse until there's no more blood and it dosen't hurt to brush the area anymore. There's also these tiny brushes you can buy in the floss area(yes, you need to keep flossing too, lol). You stick the brushes in between your teeth and literally scrub the area out.they reach places the floss can't. Also, I'm sure you've heard this before, but swish your mouth out with warm salt water. Yes, the tea tree oil tastes like hell and you'll want to rinse after treating the gums/tooth but it serves as both a cleanser and mild pain killer.

problems with teeth can be cleared up by just keeping them clean. I didn't go to the dentist for ten years and didn't have one cavity! Last time I went I had to have a root canal because of an absess in my jaw(all the cleaning in the world couldn't take care of that unfortunately) but I still had no cavities, lol!

remember that untreated gingivitis can develop to a more serious gum disease such as periodontitis which has a symptom of gum recession. receding gums is serious, the best thing to do is to get to the dentist as soon as possible to avoid teeth to be falling out.

need to have a good program of oral hygiene every after meal.

particles that is left and usually clings to the teeth are the source of bacteria to cause receding gums. it is a must to floss and brush teeth after meal to remove plaque and tartar. practice oral care would also be a great help like proper brushing and careful flossing.

an all natural oral care product as a part of good oral hygiene to fight the cause of gum infections.
